THE GOSPEL of ACCOMODATION

Hasil gambar untuk THE GOSPEL of ACCOMODATION
THE GOSPEL of ACCOMMODATION
by David Wilkerson

Accommodate means to adapt, to make suitable and acceptable,
to make convenient. A gospel of accommodation is creeping into
the United States. It's an American cultural invention to appease
the lifestyle of luxury and pleasure. Primarily a Caucasian, suburban
gospel, it's also in our major cities and is sweeping the nation,
influencing ministers of every denomination, and giving birth to
mega-churches with thousands who come to hear a non-confronting
message. It's an adaptable gospel that is spoon-fed through
humorous skits, drama, and short, nonabrasive sermonettes on
how to cope-called a seeker-friendly or sinner-friendly gospel.

To begin with, those terms are unscriptural. The gospel of Jesus
Christ has always been confronting-there is no such thing as a
friendly gospel but a friendly grace.

This new gospel is being propagated by bright, young, talented
ministers. They have come upon a formula which states you can
go into any town or city; and if you have the right formula, within
a short time you can raise a megachurch.

If you are a young man and have certain skills, you find those
skills and a part of the city that would best suit you. You move
into that area, poll it, and find out what the non-churchgoers want:

Then you go to your computer and design a gospel that will not
confront but will shoot out the desires and the needs of the people.
After you have gathered a handful of people, you keep interviewing
them to find out what they want; then you design your message
to help people cope with their needs. The program you design is
intended to make the church comfortable and friendly for all sinners
who wish to attend.

This gospel is fast becoming the most prosperous and flourishing
of all religious movements. Thousands attend these churches. The
pastor is the CEO, and it becomes a business. They make no
bones about it: They are following Madison Avenue tactics and
can make a success of it. Their formula for quick church growth
is cleverly packaged and is being sold especially to young ministers-
those who want to be a part of the big boys and what's happening
on a fast track. They want it to happen quickly.

Paul's Warning

Paul warned of the coming of another gospel and another Jesus
(2 Corinthians 11:4). He warned the church that it's really not
another gospel but a perversion of the true gospel of Jesus Christ.
If you hear any other gospel, he said, let that preacher be accursed.
In other words, no matter how pleasant, how pious, or how sincere,
if the message is not the death of sin through the cross of Jesus
Christ, let it be accursed.

I tremble when I read in the Scriptures that in the last days Satan
is going to come right into the church posing as an angel of light.
He's going to take ministers who, at one time, had the touch of
God, and he's going to transform them into angels of light to
become his tool of deception. That's frightening. It causes me
to fall on my face before God for such false, deceitful workers
transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. No marvel,
for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore,
it's no great thing if ministers also are transformed as the ministers
of righteousness whose end shall be according to their works..."

THE 5 KEYS to DISCERNMENT

NOTE:  Seeing God-TV have decided to promote another Todd
Bentley "revival", I thought it might be good to once again discuss
the topic of 'discernment' in these last days. God-TV have
obviously not learned their lesson from the Lakeland fiasco a few
years ago where Todd Bentley showed his true colours for all the
world to see. Many Charismatic leaders are still wearing egg all
over their face for their total lack of discernment during that fiasco.
And yet here they are repeating all the same mistakes. I would
be interested in your comments on the article below, my friends-

THE 5 KEYS to DISCERNMENT
by Andrew Strom

Practical tips for the End-time church.

Some people say that knowing Scripture is the only real key to
discernment that we need. And yes - Scripture is very important -
especially in exposing false doctrine. But it is not only doctrines
or teachings that are the greatest danger today. It is just as likely
to be false `anointings´ or spirits - perhaps even "lying signs and
wonders". And we may need more than just a good understanding
of Scripture to spot these things. Remember, a lot of the people
caught up in today's "manifestations mania" actually know their
Bible quite well. And yet they could still be deceived. So what
are the things that can help us avoid deception in similar situations?

Some of the most basic keys to discernment that God has shown
me are as follows:
(1) Know your HOLY GOD intimately. (-When you have seen His
glory, His holiness and His love - by drawing close to Him in prayer -
then you can usually see through any "counterfeits" because you
know the 'real thing' so well).
(2) Know your Bible. It is very important to be able to spot teachings
that are either extra-biblical or directly opposed to what the Scriptures
teach. However, it is important to remember that the Scribes and
Pharisees were extremely learned in the Scriptures and yet they
missed the very Messiah that was prophesied! So knowing the
Bible is important - especially for doctrinal issues - but we need
to be able to "discern the spirits" also.
(3) Be a "lover of truth". This is very crucial. Are you someone who
will actually stand up for TRUTH - even against the crowd? Or do
you remain silent even when you feel something is very wrong?
(4) Purity of heart and Humility. Many deceptions only appeal to
us because there is something inside us that "wants" to believe
them. They are seductive because of darkness and wrong motives
in our own lives. We must search our hearts and root these out.
(5) The 'inner witness' of the Holy Spirit. We must learn to NEVER
over-ride this "still small voice", as it will save us from deception
again and again. (-More on this below).

Did you know that even an unbeliever can often spot a 'con-man'
or a snake-oil salesman? They get a kind-of "gut feeling" about
such things. And they are often right! In fact, they are often less
gullible than the Christians! (-Because we are told in the church-
"Do not judge", 'Touch not the Lord's anointed', "You have a critical
spirit if you do not join in", etc, etc. This is the very reason why
Christians are often the most gullible and easily deceived). We
need to realize that the Bible says to "Test the spirits" and warns
very strongly that the Last Days will be a time of "seducing spirits"
and great deception. So how can we become more alert to these things?

I believe that God has placed within every human being at least a
measure of an inner "warning system" to protect us from being
easily deceived - just as He has given us all a conscience. It is
something that He has built into every one of us, in His mercy. (I
guess a lot of it is simply `common sense´). However, Christians
should have an even greater advantage in this area, because we
have the "inner witness" of the Holy Spirit, and the `still small
voice´ of the Lord speaking to us every day.

But what I have found again and again with people who give
themselves over to some form of deception is that they often
"override" these alarm bells. They go against their 'better
judgement'. They ignore the little voice deep inside them that is
telling them that there is something wrong. Christians do this all
the time. That is how they get themselves involved in such foolish
deceptions.

This may all sound very obvious, but I am telling you, this one
basic area alone could wipe out half the deception in the church
right now. If only people would listen to these internal 'alarm bells'
and act with common sense, half of it would be gone overnight.

The Bible is very clear that the Last Days are a time of such
widespread deception that it would "deceive if possible the very
elect". It also shows that much of this deception will arise from
WITHIN the church - luring believers with "itching ears". Do we see
evidence of this kind of thing taking place today? Certainly!  In fact,
some of it is at a level that is truly shocking. And yet it is all
accepted as perfectly "normal" by many Christians.

One of the problems, of course, is that those who bring in these
deceptions are 'trusted' by the congregation. They have a reputation
and they put across some very convincing-sounding arguments
and surround the whole thing with Biblical terminology. And thus
the deception is harder to spot. (After all, if it were not "deceptive"
then it would not be called 'deception'!) People see spiritual power
operating and assume that it "must be God". But this is a very
dangerous assumption to make in these days.

As I said in a previous article, there is also a lot of "peer pressure"
involved as well. For if everyone in the church is getting into
something, then shouldn't you just ignore those little 'alarm bells'
and jump right in? This is what is happening all the time in the
church right now. And some preachers are very good at making
people feel that they are 'hindering the Spirit' if they do not get involved.

So how do you avoid being deceived in this way?

Very simply, you do not go along to these meetings in a "gullible"
frame of mind. And you do not allow yourself to be carried along
with the crowd. You listen carefully to the preaching and make
sure that it truly is Biblical. Then you watch the ministry happening
down the front of the meeting and discern whether it really is of
God or not. You do not "override" any feelings of unease or any
'alarm bells' going off inside you. And you do not allow yourself to
be swayed by 'peer pressure'. Even if the whole church is getting
into something, it does not mean that you have to. If you do not
feel quite "right" about it then DO NOT GET INVOLVED. If you
need to, make some excuse and get out of there! You do not have
to get involved in things that do not feel spiritually "right" to you.

A lot of people today will go down the front to get something
"imparted" to them by almost every visiting speaker - almost as a
matter of course. I tell you, in today's climate this can be a very
dangerous thing to do. In fact, some of this 'impartation' business
has very flimsy backing in Scripture. Who knows what on earth
these preachers are imparting? And who knows where they picked
it up?  I tell you, deceiving spirits are commonplace today, and
I believe they are being imparted to Christians on a large scale.

Let me give you an example. I received the following account from
a preacher in England recently:
"There were about 20 fellow ministers all gathered together in one
large room at a local minister's house. We were introduced to the
special guest... The next 3 hours were the weirdest three hours I
have ever had to endure, we started listening to [her] testimony
which seemed very powerful, next she spoke of the times that she
meets with the Angel Gabriel and other spiritual beings, next we
moved on to portals between this world and the next and then finally
to how she was going to open up a portal to Heaven in the room that
we were all in.  Now things started to happen, really crazy things
and strange noises... As [she] moved around the room ministering
to individual people they were crashing to the ground, bouncing up
and down, running around as if on fire and making all sorts of sounds.
When she came to me she had no prophetic words for me and nothing
happened to me so she just moved on.  My Vineyard friend was the
first to crash to the floor. Since that day his church has taken on a
different guise, it is not the same church any more."

Now, you should know that this 'guest speaker' was one of the very
people I mentioned in my "Naming Names" article. I believe that
this is a true account, because it is very similar to what I myself
observed happening under the same ministry. In fact, what I saw
was people making involuntary "bat"-like movements all over the
building and an eery 'wailing' noise filling the air. It was truly awful.

Now, it should not surprise us that there are strong deceptions or
"powerful delusions" around today, for this is exactly what the
Scriptures predict will happen. All the way through the New
Testament we are warned of these days - over and over again.

However, one of the problems we have is that God actually does
'strange and unusual' things Himself. (-Think of the Book of Acts,
for instance). So we cannot simply throw out everything "unusual".
Angelic visitations DO HAPPEN. Strange prophetic signs DO
OCCUR. And being a strong Charismatic Christian myself, I expect
to see believers speaking in tongues and moving in the gifts of the
Holy Spirit as well. Now, there is no doubt that many of these
things could be termed 'unusual' phenomena. So how do we tell
the difference?

Well, God never goes against His own holy character. Or against
Scripture. And as I often say, we may see Him do 'unusual' things
but I believe we need to draw the line at "weird" or 'ugly'. Some of
the deception that is around right now has a 'touchy-feely' New Age
sense about it. Remember that the New Age movement majors on
"inner healing" and unusual spiritual experiences. I do not believe
in 'guided visualisation' or anything of that kind. And neither am I
very fond of the writings of Catholic mystics or the like.

However, I have personally found it very helpful to immerse myself
in the writings of past Revivalists and the accounts of great moves
of God. A lot of the men and women involved in these Revivals lived
very close to God and knew Him intimately. They knew His holiness,
they knew His glory, and they knew His love. And it is enormously
helpful to one's discernment to immerse oneself in these writings,
I have found. I would recommend this to all Christians everywhere.

If you have been touched or involved in any way with manifestations
or experiences that you think may not have been from God, then
I urge you to utterly RENOUNCE (with your mouth, but also from
the depths of your heart and soul) any links or involvement with
that experience or 'anointing'. Please do not put this off, my friends.
Some of this stuff is extremely dangerous. RENOUNCE IT today.

An Unusual Word

An UNUSUAL WORD
by David Wilkerson

Recently the Holy Spirit gave me an unusual word, one that I did
not want to hear! He said, "You are bound to a very limited vision
of the Lord´s ocean of tender, loving mercies. You have endured
much guilt, condemnation and fear because you have not allowed
the Holy Spirit to reveal the vastness of My forgiving, healing,
reconciling mercies. You do not know Me for My tenderness!"

God showed me that this is a root cause for many giving up and
falling away. When sin strikes-when Satan comes in like a flood,
when you fall into some old habit or sin-the devil creates a
bondage. First, the guilt comes flooding in, then fear fills your
heart. A sense of total failure and helplessness overwhelms your
soul. At this point, most believers run out of grace-because
their view of God´s mercy is so limited.

Satan comes to you and says, "You´ve reached your limit. You´ve
confessed your sin time after time. There is no way God will forgive
you now, because you´ve sinned against the light. If you return
and confess once more, you´ll turn around and sin all over again.
So quit now!"

The devil does not want you to see God´s ocean of mercy; he
wants you to see only a trickle! Because of our ignorance of the
forgiving, restoring power of Christ´s love, we are destroyed. We
run out of mercy for ourselves because we are horribly bound
by a limited vision. Our eyes have not yet been opened to the
endless mercies of our tender Father! We are so bound by a
false, limited view of His mercies, we find it almost impossible
to believe or accept what James said: "[We] have seen the end
of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful (full of compassion), and
of tender mercy" (James 5:11).

This verse means, "God is easily crushed by our troubles and
hurts. He feels our pain and our failures, and He is kind and
compassionate to us. He loved us even when we were His
enemy. Even when we offend Him, He is quick to help, restore
and forgive us."

The word mercy means "kind and compassionate treatment of
an offender under one's power." God has the power to damn us
to hell every time we sin; He has us under His control and can
do with us as He pleases. And it pleases His tender heart to
be compassionate, loving and kind toward those who have failed
Him the most.

The Power of The Holy Spirit

THE POWER of THE HOLY GHOST
by David Wilkerson

Those who were headed for the Upper Room loved Jesus dearly.
They were compassionate, self-sacrificing, soul-loving. But they
were not yet qualified to be His witnesses. It takes more than a
love for Jesus and a compassion for souls to qualify you as His witness.

They had been taught in the school of Christ. They had healed
the sick, cast out demons, and performed miracles. They had
seen Jesus clothed in His eternal glory on the Mount.

They had been nearby when He sweat drops of blood as He prayed
and then they had seen Him hanging on the cross. They had seen
Him resurrected, viewed the empty tomb, eaten with Him, and
talked with Him in His glorified body. They had even seen Him
ascend into heaven! Yet they still were not ready to witness of Him.

Why couldn´t Peter go to those milling crowds in Jerusalem and
immediately testify to His resurrection? Hadn´t he witnessed that
event firsthand? It seems he could have preached, "Jesus is alive!
He ascended into heaven! Repent!"

Peter makes a powerful statement to the chief priests: "And we
are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Spirit,
whom God hath given to them that obey him" (Acts 5:32).

Through the words of the Holy Spirit speaking through Peter, the
priests "were cut to the heart, and took counsel to slay them"
(Acts 5:33). The Holy Spirit also had spoken through Peter on
the day of Pentecost, and all who heard "were pricked in their
heart" (Acts 2:37).

Stephen, filled with the Holy Spirit, preached to the religious
leaders: "Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears,
ye do always resist the Holy Spirit: as your fathers did, so do
ye. . . . When they heard these things, they were cut to the
heart, and they gnashed on him with their teeth" (Acts 7:51, 54).

When you emerge from seeking God, full of the Holy Spirit, you
will be able to stand with boldness before fellow workers, family,
anyone, and your witness will provoke one of two reactions. They
will either cry out, "What must I do to be saved?" or they will want
to kill you! You will speak a word that cuts to the heart. The
difference is found in the power of the Holy Spirit.

OUT OF THEIR MINDS

-David Wilkerson. "Every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell" (Matthew 7:26-27). The law is not intended for the person whose obedience springs out of a desire to please God. He is not concerned about what is legal or illegal, what is permitted or forbidden. He has only one criterion: "What does my Lord desire?" You can lay out all the law before him - all the rules, regulations and prohibitions - and he will say, "You don't have to tell me not to do those things. I wouldn't do anything to hurt my Father. I love Him! I've already forsaken the world and its lusts to go after Him whom my heart desires. "Show me what He wants, not just what He forbids. I want His heart's desire to become my actions. I want to know His mind and obey it. Sure, I love His law. But that's for the lawless, for those who haven't come into a knowledge of intimacy with Christ. I have another law at work in my heart. It's the law of love, one that says, 'Lord, what can I do to please You today?'" Such a person isn't moved by threats of hellfire, or even by rewards. He needs no prophet to shake him, no warnings of judgment. He is in love with Jesus and his obedience to God's Word is a natural outgrowth of this love. It is as natural to him as breathing. On the other hand, the person who builds his house on sand does so only for show. It is a temporary lifestyle. He reasons that he'll live in that house for five years, then sell it and leave the problems to someone else. It's only a facade with no real foundation! You see, this person doesn't believe a storm is coming. He doesn't want to think that things are going to get hard. That is the way the world deals with eternity: They simply don't think about it. A Christian celebrity once asked one of the late-night talk show hosts, "What do you think about eternity?" He answered, "I try to put it out of my mind." Tragically, a lot of Christians also try to put eternity out of their minds. They try not to think that judgment is at the door. They don't want to believe that one day they'll stand before the Lord and answer for everything they've said and done. -Original source- http://www.worldchallenge.org/en/node/18437 © 2012 World Challenge - a registered trademark of David Wilkerson.

GOD WILL SEE it THROUGH

GOD WILL SEE it THROUGH -by David Wilkerson. Peter was the man who said he would never desert Jesus. Yet, not only did Peter deny he knew Him, but he did it with a stream of profanities pouring from his mouth. "And a maid saw him again, and began to say to them that stood by, This is one of them. And he denied it again. And a little after, they that stood by said again to Peter, Surely thou art one of them. . . . But he began to curse and to swear, saying, I know not this man of whom ye speak" (Mark 14:69-71). If you had been standing near the fire listening to Peter, you may have thought, "Is this the man who was on the Mount of Transfiguration? The one who laid hands on the sick and they recovered? The one entrusted with the keys to the kingdom? Listen to what's coming out of his mouth! How could he walk so intimately with the Lord and then blow up like this, lying, cursing and denying Him? It's all over for Peter. He might as well go back to his fishing nets. He'll never be heard of again." Had you run to the Lord exclaiming about Peter´s cursing, He would have answered, "Yes, Peter has failed Me but I know his heart. He's going to be on a hill in a few hours, weeping and coming back to Me. In fact, he is on his way to Pentecost - to a life of ministry for Me." "If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself" (2 Timothy 2:13). The actual Greek reading of this verse is: "If we are faithless, yet He remains faithful." It is true that Peter was terribly unfaithful but God remained faithful and His eternal purpose in Peter's life was not thwarted. Why? Because God cannot deny who He is. No matter what you have been through this past year, God looks on your heart. If you have a broken and contrite spirit, He will be there for you. His eternal purpose for you will not be ruined because He will see it through! -Original source- http://www.worldchallenge.org/en/node/18045

"VIOLENT FAITH!"

"VIOLENT FAITH!"
-David Wilkerson.

Genesis tells us that the more man multiplied on the earth, the
more violent he became.

"The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled
with violence. So God looked upon the earth, and indeed it was
corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted their way on the earth" (Gen 6:11-12).

There is another, different kind of violence taking place in this last
day. Indeed, I see a godly people with an aggressive faith being
raised up. This holy remnant is full of Jesus, loving Him with all
their hearts. These believers see a mad devil coming at them
with everything in his power and they know they have more of
hell to face than any other generation before them.

Jesus said: "The kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the
violent take it by force" (Matthew 11:12). This remnant is going
to rise up and say, "I'm not going to let the devil steal my joy
and peace. I will not let him plant seeds of grudges, murder,
hatred or violence in me. No! I'm going to rise up in Jesus' power
and live victoriously above this demonic filth."

Dear saint, God wants to put a fight in you! If you have been
guilty of any of these forms of violence, quickly repent before
the Lord and obey His Word. That's all He asks. May God put
a holy zeal and faith in you beyond anything you have ever
known. He wants you to be able to stand against Satan's
wicked devices.

The only spirit of violence we are going to have is a violent faith. It
will be a strong, holy violence that comes full force against the
gates of hell and the strongholds of the enemy. And, by the power
of God, we will bring them all down in Jesus' name!

GEORGE FOX - Too RADICAL!!

GEORGE FOX - Too RADICAL!!

Andrew Strom:- A reader wrote to me recently about the radical
ministry of George Fox from centuries ago. Here was a man who
feared nothing, who walked the earth in leather clothes, who was
so against the organized religion of his day that he called church
buildings "steeple houses" and frightened off many a "hireling" in
the charge thereof - before preaching to the congregation himself!!
There has rarely been an anointed Reformer or Revivalist as radical
as George Fox.

As reader 'Tom' wrote to me:

"I have read a number of items on revival, but to my knowledge, no
one has referenced George Fox who lived in the 1600s in England
during a tumultuous time. He spent times in jail for his outspoken
faith and because he challenged the clergy of the day. His teaching
was the most practical and uncompromising I have encountered
on the matter of holiness and regeneration.

An interesting thing about him and perhaps the reason he goes
unnoticed, is that his ministry mirrors that of the book of Acts,
except that his foes are not Judaism but apostate Christianity.
In other words, his time is contemporary in many ways with ours.
Because of this, many may avoid him since he was entirely
separated from organized religion!"

GEORGE FOX - the HOLY RADICAL
-by David Smithers.

In the year of 1647, a large man with piercing eyes named George
Fox started preaching throughout the towns and villages of England.
He prayed and fasted often, traveling with no other companion but
his Bible. He proclaimed a gospel of purity, power and repentance.

When George Fox began preaching, many churches were dead
and bound in man-made traditions and formalism. When the Church
drifts into formalism, the world drifts into further ungodliness. The
methods and appearance of George Fox to some, seemed quite
offensive and extreme. It is sometimes necessary for God's
prophets to be unconventional in order to thoroughly awaken the
indifferent and hard hearted.

Soon after George Fox began to preach, he had a remarkable
spiritual experience that lasted fourteen days. A certain Mr. Brown,
while on his death bed prophesied many great things concerning
Fox. "When this man was buried," says Fox, "a great work of the
Lord fell on me." During this mighty baptism of the Spirit, Fox
received a remarkable gift of discernment. "He seemed to be able
to read the character of men by looking at them." Miraculous
healings also accompanied his ministry. Through prayer and the
laying on of hands, the sick were often healed and devils were
cast out to the glory of Christ. When George Fox preached men
would shake and tremble. "The name Quaker was given to Fox
and his followers because of the quaking of the men who came
to scoff but stayed to pray." This remarkable power seemed to
accompany the preaching of Fox wherever he went.

Fox preached that Jesus Christ is the author of a faith which
purifies and gives victory over sin. He fervently exhorted men to
pursue complete holiness rather than empty religious ceremonies.
As a result, he was often beaten, stoned and driven out of town.
It is estimated that perhaps no other man since the time of the
Reformation was persecuted and imprisoned as often as George
Fox. He usually went about the country on foot, dressed in his
famous suit of leather clothes, which it is believed he made
himself. He often slept outside under a tree or in some haystack.
Fox also often pointed out that what was commonly called the
Church was only a building. He boldly declared that only the
fervent believers of Christ were the living stones of the true Church.

"Above all George Fox excelled in prayer." It was his habit to wait
in silence for the movement of the Holy Spirit and then begin to
pray, causing whole congregations to be shaken and humbled
under the hand of God Almighty. "As he prayed the power of God
came down in such a marvelous manner the very building seemed
to rock." Through the ministry of George Fox, a glimmer of Apostolic
power was revealed to seventeenth century England. He was a man
of the Spirit in an age that emphasized theological and scriptural
accuracy at the expense of the power of the Holy Ghost. He always
stressed the importance of a Spirit filled life and refused to let dead
orthodoxy be a veil for the works of the flesh.

If we as believers are content with a gospel that merely comforts
our conscience and perseveres our traditions, then we are also
content to forsake the gospel of Christ and the Apostles. God
help us to truly seek the kind of praying and preaching that will
once again make men tremble in the presence of Jesus Christ.

THE 100 YEAR OLD PROPHECY

ANDREW's NOTE: There are 2 things that people won't like about
the prophecy below. For one thing, it is declaring that there is
genuine hope for a real Revival in this generation. I hear from
Christians in our circles all the time that there is no such hope.
Many have completely given way to Cynicism. But they call their
cynicism by another name. They call it "discernment". They long
ago stopped hoping or believing that God might really move. They
say it is only the "false prophets" that give encouraging words
about "Revival coming". And so this must be a 'false' word too,
they say. But cynicism and unbelief are not "discernment". They
are simply cynicism and unbelief. We need to repent.

The second reason that people will not like this prophecy is that
it mentions the "latter rain". This is not the same as the "Latter
rain" heresy. All the old pentecostals that I have read about used
the term "latter rain" all the time - to talk about a real Last-Days
outpouring of the Holy Spirit. It was only much later that the term
got associated with the "Latter Rain" heresy out of Canada.

But I find lately that the Cynicism is so great, the Unbelief so
strong, the so-called "Discernment" is so nit-picking (and by the
way, "Google-searching" is not 'Discernment' either) - that everyone
nit-picks every "positive" word to death. Just like the Pharisees.

You simply are not allowed to be "hopeful" any more.

Could the below prophecy be true? I surely hope so. I have to
believe that God has not given up yet. And neither has this generation
seen a truly holy and radiant "Bride" clothed in the glory of Christ.
I am not one who is wanting to "whimper" my way into eternity
without at least seeing that. - Nit-picking, anyone? - Andrew Strom.

The 100-YEAR-OLD PROPHECY
-Michael Edds.

The great Azusa Street Awakening, which over the years resulted
in 600 million being swept into the Kingdom of God and gave birth
to the Pentecostal Movement, began in 1906. It was one of the
greatest outpourings of the Spirit of God since Pentecost. Multitudes
were saved, healed, and filled with the Holy Spirit. Incredible
miracles occurred.

This great revival moved from Los Angeles to its new focal point of
Chicago, Illinois. The two great centers of revival in Chicago were
the North Avenue Mission and the Stone Church. Pentecost swept
from Chicago to Canada, Europe, South America and Africa. One
of the greatest outpourings occurred at Stone Church in 1913.
The renown evangelist Maria Woodworth Etter began a revival
on July 2, 1913 at Stone Church.

The services were to last until the end of July but continued for six
months. This was a time of divine appointment for the city of
Chicago; God rent the heavens and came down!! Scenes from the
days of the Early Church began to occur at Stone Church. Word
began to spread throughout Chicago of miraculous healings,
deliverance from demonic possession, conversions, and of the
outpouring of the Holy Spirit happening in these meetings.
Advertisement was no longer necessary! The city was incredibly
shaken. Word spread of the miraculous intervention of God.
Thousands came on trolleys, buggies, and trains, while many
walked. Some came from distances of 1,600 miles away. 1200
to 1500 packed into Stone Church each night. The basement was
filled and many stood out on the street. Street meetings were held
to accommodate them. Three services were held on Sundays!

As Christians prayed around the altar one evening, Sister
Woodworth-Etter and others gave the following powerful prophecy
and divine promise, which they prophesied would occur within 100
years of the 1913 Chicago Visitation. She prophesied of this
coming End Time Revival....

"We are not yet up to the fullness of the Former Rain and that when
the Latter Rain comes, it will far exceed anything we have seen!"

William Seymour, the leader of the Azusa Street Awakening, also
prophesied that in 100 years there would be an outpouring of God's
Spirit and His Shekinah Glory that would be greater and more far
reaching than what was experienced at Azusa.

It has been almost 100 years since these prophecies were given...
I believe that we have reached the time of the fulfillment of these
100 year old prophecies. We must be diligent to pray, intercede
and protect what the Lord is doing. We must encourage and edify
one another as never before. We must crucify every critical,
judgmental and religious spirit that may be within us. We must
put on the holiness and righteousness of Christ. Our time of divine
destiny has come. We are about to experience what Brother
Seymour and Sister Woodworth-Etter foresaw. God is about to
rend the heavens and come down!...

"ICONOCLASTS" - An Insightful Word

"ICONOCLASTS" - An Insightful Word
-extracts by Robert I Holmes.

"Where, O where is the prophet? Where are the incandescent
ones fresh from the holy place? Where is Moses to plead in fasting
before the holiness of the Lord?... the one with a terrible
earnestness, the one totally otherworldly." - Leonard Ravenhill.

Ravenhill's words are reminiscent of a podcast I was listening to
on my way to Sydney... It was a communication from the Banff
Leadership Centre in Toronto Canada titled "Iconoclasts" outlining
the role of men and women in organisations who shake things up.
They gave this definition of iconoclast: The breaker or destroyer of
images or idols set up for veneration. A person who attacks
cherished beliefs, traditions, institutions and error. You might be
familiar with its synonym: Curmudgeon.

This idea, this concept of shaking the house, shattering the idols,
attacking cherished beliefs is very much the life blood of
Christianity, of early Christians and indeed, draws from their long
heritage as recipients of faith from Israel. Peter, in describing his
fellow believers said they were "sons of the prophets" (Acts 3:25) -
for Peter faith meant being like the prophets of old.

Enter Moses

There are many iconoclasts in church history, some as far back
as Moses in the Old Testament. He, looking forward as far as
Peter was looking back, said he wished "that all God's people
were prophets and that the Lord would pour his spirit upon them!"
(Numbers 11:29). Remember that Scripture defines Moses himself
as a prophet (Deut. 34:10, Luke 24:27), and Moses prophesied of
a time when one "likened unto Moses" would arise - Jesus
himself (Acts 7:37).

So who is this man - this prophet after whom we are sons? Moses
was the man: - who confronted Pharaoh - who split the Red Sea -
whose enemies were swallowed by the sand - who saw God and
lived - of whom God said, "Moses is my friend"!

This is the iconoclast. This is the prophet. This is Jesus all the
way through his ministry. And where is the spirit of Moses in the
church today? Where is the nature and character of Christ
amongst Christian today? There are a number of facets to the
prophetic that should be reflected in our lives including: being a
forerunner; dealing with isolation; holding God's opinion above
men's; going against the flow; dealing with rejection; being a
recoverer and; driving for balance by being out of balance.

1. Forerunning

Prophetic people are forerunners. They come into things first. God
deals with the church before he deals with the world (ref) and he
deals with natural things before spiritual things (ref). Prophetic
people in the church are even further ahead and as a result are
quite out of step with the mainstream. They are often in the
opposite phase. Happy when everyone else is sad, sad when
everyone else is happy.

2. Dealing with isolation

Bring prophetic very often means having an unpopular message,
and results in fierce isolation. You have to have a thick skin to say
the unpopular thing. You might be a solitary figure rebuking a
corrupt king. The one who rats out sin in the camp. The one who
cares about what God cares about. However just because we are
isolated does not mean we isolate ourselves. We seek out the
brethren, we want companions. We resist being a loose canon or
a law unto ourselves.

3. Holding God's opinion above men's

If we face heaven, and we care about heaven's opinion and
perspective on things we will care more about God's opinion that
peoples. We will seek to experience heaven's favour and not curry
the favour of men. We will desire heaven's stamp of approval even
at the expense of men's favouritism.

4. Going against the flow

Have you noticed that God has a very different set of priorities to
us? He values integrity whilst the world pushes for sensuality; he
desires honesty when the world wants duplicity; he aims for
longevity when the world demands expediency. Prophetic people
even find themselves going against the flow in church - and sadly
sometimes even going against the prophetic flow!...

5. Dealing with rejection

Being out of step, being isolated, being a lone voice comes with
rejection too. People do not just take kindly to your obstinate
passion for truth and purpose, they buck against it. The donkey
kicks against the goad, the horse bolts when spurred. So too
people rebuke and rail against those who are prophetic...

However, we do not imbue the spirit of rejection. We do not walk
around with a sour face, expectant of rejection - wishing it upon
ourselves and provoking it from others. Rather we understand it is
part of the call, a necessary companion on the journey. After all
we are followers of Jesus: a man despised and rejected, a man of
sorrows, acquainted with grief (Isaiah 53:3).

Instead, Jesus came into situations expectant of finding the
Kingdom at work, and his Father at work, with work for him to do
there (John 5:17).

6. Being a recoverer

"The function of the prophet has almost always been that of
recovery." - T Austin Sparks

The prophetic person is not a maintainer, they come in to repair
what is broken. Recovery is required after an accident or injury -
people need rescue and decisive action is needed for triage.
Recovery is needed after a loss or fall - lost things need to be
found, people adrift at sea need to be rescued. Recovery is needed
after a mop up campaign. The troops have gone through and the
land needs to be restored. As a result, when all is well, prophetic
people are quiet.

7. Driving for balance

"Prophets were not made for the status quo, they were made to
bring things back to the middle. This means they stand for the
extreme, to bring the church back to where she should be."
-Brian Medway.

If the church gets imbalanced, or has forgotten a truth the prophet
pushes back to recover it. They take an extreme view of stance, to
bring the church back to centre. Which is why it seems that their
message is unbalanced, because of necessity it is. But this
contains a dilemma for us.

Once an issue has been championed, and accepted the church
must move on, lest she camp in that imbalanced position. Nothing
gets done when things stay the same. Movement is required -
things grow by getting out of balance - but nothing remains if it
stays unstable.

We quickly become false if we camp at and insist on an extreme.

Conclusion

This is the church, as sons of the prophets. This is the Christian
following Jesus the prophet. They are...

-An iconoclast: standing for truth; standing against tradition.
-A forerunner: out of step and out of season.
-Solitary: but not a loner or a loose canon.
-Rejected: but without a spirit of rejection.
-A recoverer: to bring things back to wholeness.
-Unbalanced: extreme but not staying out there.

Is Jesus Enough?

Is Jesus Enough? by Anne Graham Lotz

"… Giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light. For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins" (Colossians 1:12-14, NIV).

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite days of the year! Our family celebrates it with lots of food, family and football. But woven throughout all that we do is an attitude of abundant gratitude for the blessings God has given us. After our celebratory meal, we give each family member an opportunity to thank God for at least one blessing received since the last Thanksgiving.

What are some of the blessings that you thank God for this year? Your physical health … or His faithfulness to see you through sickness? Your financial health … or His wisdom to help you navigate and avoid financial disaster? Your family and friends who have stayed with you through good times and bad … or His comfort to ease the pain of those who have abandoned you? Your church that has helped you stay focused on Him because they have encouraged you by their love … or His commitment to never leave you or forsake you when the church has betrayed you? As children of God, we have been blessed with every spiritual blessing in Christ—with the things that truly matter from Heaven's perspective. Jesus is all we need. Jesus is enough.

The Joseph Chronicles

"The JOSEPH COMPANY"
-by David Wilkerson.

Let me show you the Joseph Company—a body of last-day believers
wholly given to the Lord. They commune with God daily and are led
by the Spirit in every detail of their lives. At this moment they are
coming out of great trials to enter a place of revelation, wisdom and
fruitfulness. God is working in them, giving them his truth and
knowledge, and very soon he is going to call upon them as he did
Joseph!

For the most part, the church today is experiencing widespread
spiritual famine: shallow sermons, dead hearers, "lively" worship
that is not backed up by righteous living.

God has always worked far in advance of every spiritual famine in
his church. In every generation he has moved ahead to prepare a
way out for his people!

The seventy-five members of Jacob's clan would have died in the
great worldwide famine (and the promise of Israel would have been
destroyed) had God not been working ahead of it all. In fact, some
twenty years before the famine hit, God was already setting in
motion a plan to save his people from destruction.

God sent Joseph ahead to Egypt! For twenty years God worked on
this man—isolating him, trying him, preparing him for a place of
authority—because Joseph was to become the life-saver of God's
chosen. He kept Joseph from the limelight in order that he might be
ready for a coming day of chaos and death!

Beloved, just as surely as God isolated Joseph, he has a Joseph
Company today that is hidden from all eyes. These are in the
furnace of affliction, prisons of testing, battlegrounds of trials and
temptations. They are dying to this world, wanting nothing of its
fame, honor, money or pleasure. And they are growing hungry to
become more intimate with Christ, to know his heart and his voice.

You may not understand all the mysterious testings, trials and
troubles in your life. But if your heart is fully set on following Christ,
you can rest assured God has purpose in it all: He wants to bring
you into his Joseph Company!

JOSEPH and GOD’S FAVOR

Does our heavenly Father favor certain of his children? Does the
Bible say God is no respecter of persons? When it comes to
salvation and his wonderful promises, God treats all alike but he
also puts his special favor on those who respond wholeheartedly to
his calling and yield their lives to him entirely!

Job said: "Thou hast granted me life and favour" (Job 10:12). David
said: "For thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou
compass him as with a shield" (Psalm 5:12).

Our heavenly Father puts a special garment on those who
completely give him their heart: "I will greatly rejoice in the Lord,
my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the
garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of
righteousness" (Isaiah 61:10).

Joseph responded to the Spirit's call, surrendering all, and as a
favor from his father he received a robe that set him apart. But that
favor of his father was costly! It cost Joseph relationships and
brought him rejection, misunderstanding and mockery: "All his
brethren . . . hated him" (Genesis 37:4).

Why did Joseph's brothers turn on him? The key is in verse 11:
"His brethren envied him." When they saw the robe Joseph wore,
they knew it spoke of favor, righteousness. And they hated it,
because it reminded them of the Spirit's call they had rejected!
Joseph was a reproach to their halfhearted lifestyle!

You see, Joseph's brothers sat around indulging in petty gossip
and self-centered talk. Their hearts were occupied with lands,
possessions, the future, but Joseph's was elsewhere. He spoke of
the things of God, of supernatural dealings. God had given him
dreams, which in that day was synonymous with hearing the voice
of God.

Lukewarm believers around you will want to talk about their cars,
houses and jobs, but you'd rather talk about eternal things, about
what God is saying to you. Soon you'll become a reproach to their
halfheartedness. They will envy you because you represent the
call of the Holy Ghost they turned down!

Yes, Joseph was of a different cloth and that difference made him
hated and envied among his brothers. And, beloved, the same will
happen to you if you are sold out to Jesus!

FALSE PROPHECY Causes HUNDREDS KILLED

NOTE: This slaughter is confirmed by reports from International
Christian Concern ('persecution.org') and other sources. Harold
Camping's false prophecy from earlier this year caused hundreds
of Hmong people to be slaughtered. Below is a new report from
Jacob Prasch in the actual region describing how it happened:

FALSE PROPHECY Causes HUNDREDS KILLED
-by Jacob Prasch.

As most of you are aware I am at this moment in North Vietnam
helping the much persecuted Hmong people of the tribal mountain areas.

After listening to a translation of Camping's prediction 7,000 of these
people (known in The West as Montagnards) gathered on a mountain
praising God - their suffering at the hands of the Communist regime
was about to end because Jesus was returning that day in May to
establish a new kingdom.

The police and military police slaughtered many of them at gunpoint
beheading two pastors. Others were arrested. I am told by Hmong
pastors that so many were shot dead that they were buried in mass
graves bulldozed over in an episode that I read about in Britain
but did not understand the magnitude of until I got here. I am now
trying to clean up the mess at the request of local Hmong leaders.
I spoke to a secret convocation of Hmong pastors only yesterday
who came to Hanoi, explaining to them about false prophets and
false teachers.

Due to a combination of poverty, ignorance, and persecution these
poor Christians don't understand much so they believed Camping's
shortwave broadcast which is how most get their teaching in a
certain village area with heavy persecution. Their families don't know
if their missing loved ones are among the many shot dead, among
those arrested and imprisoned, or among those from the 7,000
hiding in the jungle.

I am not the nicest guy in the world let alone the best Christian
and I can't pretend to be. But anyone who had to deal with the
confusion and devastation I am dealing with now due to Harold
Camping would also blow their top. These people already suffering
for their faith in Jesus had it bad enough. They are not like the
undiscerning whackos in The West who should have known
Camping was a crackpot and a proven false prophet & false teacher.
This is a persecuted church who just had no means to know any
different. This is why I get angry at those who deceive the Body of
Christ and why I warn so much about false teachers and false
prophets. It may be an extreme case but these people, some of
them children, were shot dead. Of course we can blame Satan and
the communists but their blood is on the hands of Harold Camping
and his Family radio. Women without husbands, children without
parents, husbands without wives - thank you Family Radio; thank
you Harold Camping.

Frankly, this has been a rough week for me. One of the worst I ever
had. I am up to my eyeballs in muck trying to explain to tribal
pastors how to explain to their people why their families were
massacred needlessly and trying to advise them how to potect
their flocks from such wolves in the future...

The anguish of the Hmong folk took my concentration off of my
own problems... because their problems are so much greater
after what they refer to as 'the mountain massacre' due to Harold
Camping.

Please pray for these people and the work of Moriel Asia branch
here among the Hmong. We are trying to get 5,000 outlawed
Hmong Bibles printed or smuggled in via Laos.

Where does it end? These people are suffering terribly while
Camping is still in business in Oakland, California - as usual telling
more lies... Come Lord Jesus.

CALEB'S SECRET

"CALEB"
-David Wilkerson.

Caleb, whose name means forcible, fortitude, is a type of one who
clings to the Lord! Caleb was inseparable from Joshua, representing
one who continually walks with the Lord through all the distractions of life.

Caleb had accompanied the spies over Jordan, where the Holy Spirit
drew him to Hebron—"the place of death." Abraham and Sarah were
buried there, as were Isaac and Jacob and the patriarchs, and years
later, David's kingdom would begin there. With awe Caleb climbed
that hallowed mountain and faith flooded his soul. He prized that
sanctified place and from that time on, he wanted Hebron for his
possession.

It was said of Caleb that he "wholly followed the Lord" (Numbers
14:24). He never wavered to the very end and at eighty-five years
of age he could testify: "As yet I am as strong this day as I was in
the day that Moses sent me: as my strength was then, even so is
my strength now, for war, both to go out, and to come in" (Joshua 14:11).

In his old age Caleb waged his greatest battle! "Now therefore give
me this mountain [Hebron]..." (14:12). "And Joshua blessed him,
and gave unto Caleb...Hebron for an inheritance..." (14:13). "Hebron
therefore became the inheritance of Caleb...because that he wholly
followed the Lord" (14:14).

The message is glorious: It is not enough to have died to sin—to
have entered fullness sometime in the past. The need is to grow in
the Lord to the end! To keep your spiritual power and strength
without wavering. To "wholly follow the Lord" even in old age!

Hebron—Caleb's inheritance—means a company associated!
Associated with what? With death! Not only the death to sin in
Jordan, but living in a place of death. Living with those who are
associated with the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ! "Give
me this mountain," Caleb had prayed. In other words, "Give me this
walk of death to self!" It was here that Abraham had built an altar
to sacrifice his son and it was here that Caleb and his tribe would
live, constantly associated with that altar of living sacrifice.

Caleb's wholeheartedness for the Lord produced a holy fire for God
in his children. While the children of the two and a half tribes turned
away and embraced the world and its idolatry, Caleb's family grew
stronger in the Lord!

God’s desire for all of us is that we enter a place of rest, joy and
peace in the Holy Ghost. That requires following him “with all thy
heart…and with all thy strength” to the very end (Mark 12:30).

IS IT OK TO be GAY & CHRISTIAN?

IS IT OK TO be GAY & CHRISTIAN?
-by J. Lee Grady.

Charismatic pastor Jim Swilley’s announcement that he is gay
opened the door wider for a subtle delusion. Don’t believe it.

Many people were shell-shocked last week when Atlanta pastor
Jim Swilley stood in front of his congregation, Church in the Now in
Conyers, Ga., and announced that he is gay. The 52-year-old
minister was abruptly removed from his position in the International
Communion of Charismatic Churches—a network in which he
served as an overseer. Some of Swilley’s members left his church,
others stayed, and countless others are now scratching their heads.

We Americans are lost in a moral fog. Two major Protestant
denominations (the Episcopal Church USA and the Evangelical
Lutheran Church in America) have voted to ordain gay clergy.
Meanwhile, gayness is celebrated in our media, and anyone who
refuses to bow to this idol is painted as intolerant and homophobic.

Christians who still believe homosexuality is incompatible with
biblical faith feel painted into a corner. If we defend Christian
morality, and even if we speak with compassion to those who may
struggle with same-sex attraction, we are accused of hate speech
or branded as judgmental. So we tiptoe through the minefield of
political correctness—and keep our mouths shut.

Sorry, but timidity on this issue is not acceptable. The sins we
avoid addressing from the pulpit are the sins that will thrive
unchallenged in our culture. We must develop some backbone
and speak the truth in love. Here are four truths that should factor
into any discussion on this topic:

1. Everyone is born with issues. King David wrote: “Behold, I was
brought forth in iniquity, and in sin my mother conceived me”
(Psalm 51:5, NASB). David acknowledged that he had an inborn
sin nature. This is true for all of us!

Many “gay Christian” advocates insist that some people are born
homosexuals and therefore they have no hope of altering their
orientation. But this is a lame argument since we all are born with
a propensity toward certain sins. This is the human condition: “For
all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Rom. 3:23). Just
because you are born with an inclination toward adultery,
alcoholism, shoplifting or pride doesn’t mean you have to stay that way.

2. Christ offers forgiveness and sexual healing. The more strident
voices in the gay community hate when Christians speak about
homosexuals being healed or reformed. They insist that if you are
gay, you must stay that way. They choose to ignore the fact that
thousands of people have left homosexuality after coming to faith in Christ.

My friend Alan Chambers, president of Exodus International, came
out of the gay lifestyle many years ago and now has a great
marriage with his wife, Leslie, plus two beautiful children. The
ministry he leads has helped countless people—including many
Christian “strugglers”—find emotional freedom. Some of them
experienced same-sex feelings from childhood; others developed
these feelings because they were sexually molested or because
of dysfunction in their families.

Whatever the cause of sexual brokenness, the gospel has always
provided the solution. It was true for people in the Corinthian
church, to whom Paul wrote: “Do not be deceived; neither
fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor
homosexuals … will inherit the kingdom of God. Such were some
of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you
were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit
of our God” (1 Cor. 6:9-11, emphasis added).

3. Discipleship requires self-denial. In his announcement to his
church last week, Jim Swilley said he decided to come out as gay
because he was tired of pretending. I’ve talked with others who
told me they felt they were being “dishonest” by ignoring their gay
feelings. They said they felt free when they accepted “who they
really are” and got involved in gay relationships.

For a Christian, that’s a cop out. The essence of our walk with
Christ involves denial. Jesus said: “If anyone wishes to come after
Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me”
(Matt. 16:24). Jesus was not asking us to pretend we don’t have
problems—He calls us to bring all of those problems into His light
through repentance. But the Holy Spirit gives us the power to
deny sinful desires. That quality of self-control is a fruit of the
Spirit (see Gal. 6:22-23).

4. Homosexuality is not a protected category of sin. Many “gay
Christian” advocates insist that if you are gay, then it’s fine to go
out and have all the sex you want. They ignore biblical
commandments against homosexuality (usually by saying that
Old Testament law doesn’t apply today); meanwhile they advocate
gay marriage even though most gay men are rarely monogamous.
The message is clear: If you have same-sex desires, just go
ahead and indulge because that’s how you were created.

This is what the Bible calls licentiousness—which means “lacking
legal or moral restraints, especially sexual restraints; disregarding
rules.” Actually, the Bible lumps homosexuality in with every other
form of sexual sin—and says God will punish those who engage in
it...

Regardless of how loudly the world trumpets its hedonistic agenda—
and no matter how many backslidden preachers dance to the tune—
God has the final say on this matter.

GOD TOLD ME SOMETHING I Was NOT EXPECTING to HEAR!

GOD TOLD ME SOMETHING I Was NOT EXPECTING to HEAR!
-David Wilkerson - Oct 20, 2010.

One night during a prayer meeting, God told me something about
our church I was not expecting to hear.

The Lord whispered to me, “This church needs shock treatment!
Too many have grown satisfied and complacent. You feel safe and
secure from all the winds and waves of false doctrines sweeping
over the land—but you are not prepared for what is coming!”

Beloved, the message of having the Spirit’s witness functioning in
you is not a request—it is a matter of life and death! If you don’t
have the witness of the Holy Ghost in these last days, you’re not
going to make it! You’ll give in to the coming spirit of the Antichrist!

You need the Holy Spirit witness every day—on your job, at work,
at school. You need to rightly judge politicians and leaders so
you’ll not suddenly be sucked into the antichrist system.

This is what Jesus was trying to tell us about the foolish virgins
who ran out of oil for their lamps. They had a supply of the Holy
Ghost—but they didn’t have his witness at the final moment.

Don’t end up a foolish virgin! If you are running out of oil—trusting
your church or your pastor to keep your soul—then repent! Humble
yourself and search your heart! Cry out to God to rid your soul of
all anger and bitterness. Confess your sins and forsake them.
And depend on God once again for everything!

Get the peace of God in your heart, so you can have a Holy Ghost
witness. And ask the Father for a greater enduement of the Spirit.
Invite him to be your witness and guide in everything!

We face a cost of going all the way with Jesus, but we also will
receive a reward: It is simply the blessing of having Christ stand
with us. There are many other rewards as well (see Matthew 19:29),
but I mention this one because it is all we will ever need.

When Paul was imprisoned in Jerusalem, the whole religious
system wanted to kill him. They accused him of polluting the holy
place and preaching false doctrines. His life was in danger; even
the soldiers were “fearing lest Paul should have been pulled in
pieces” (Acts 23:10). So they took him by force and locked him
away in a castle. The next night the Lord himself spoke to Paul,
and what a word he brought: “Cheer up! There’s even more trouble
to come!”

The cost of following Christ was clear in the lives of these men of
God—and if we are going to be like our Master, then we must
embrace this cost as well. Enduring it becomes a joy because
Jesus promises to stand with us in every situation. And we can
face anything or anyone when we know the Lord stands with us.

So count the cost and know that your reward, in all things, is the
precious presence of Jesus Christ.

MESSAGE of THE THREE ANGELS

MESSAGE of THE THREE ANGELS
-Randy Ailie & Maurice Smith.

We have spoken a bit in the past about "false" angels - 'Emma'
the glittering female angel and the like. But are there true angels
bringing messages from the Lord for His people today like in the
Bible? If so, what kind of messages would they be? One thing we
see in Scripture is that when true angels came, they were "holy"
messengers from the very presence of God. People often fell on
their face because of this holy presence of the Lord. And of course
the content of the messages was biblical and holy also.

Last week someone posted an account of a real "angelic visitation"
on our website. At least it had the ring of authenticity about it.
I believe the message it contains is important enough to risk
sending it out - despite a possible "backlash". Below are two
accounts of this exact same event. I would be interested in your
responses, my friends.

(1) THREE ANGELS With THREE MESSAGES
-by Randy Ailie.

There is a huge crisis coming that is going to purge the system.
We as leaders need to recognize and address this. He is promising
to visit his church in a way we have never seen before.

A few years back I was in a meeting with other well known leaders
to pray about what the Lord wanted us to hear. 3 angels visited us.
This was witnessed by everyone there! They spoke to us concerning
this coming visitation and what we had to do to prepare for this... it
left an indelible mark on almost everyone there for years now. Most
of us walked around in stunned silence with bouts of crying for months.

They told us to shun or stay away from the big things that were
being promoted by the church. They talked to us directly about
spending quiet intimate time with Him, alone!... This intimacy is
the foundation of everything, and the hardest! The second Angel
talked to us about the Lord bringing his Holiness back to the church.
And the third talked to us about the Lord himself bringing the very
Terror of God back to the church. This has left an indelible mark
on me. The entire church as we know it in every form and manner
has departed from these thoughts...

The third angel was (I am fighting tears here) standing as a flame
of fire. Just fresh out of the very presence of God. I do not know
how to explain or even try to use words here describing this, it
seems outside of my scope of words. He was overwhelming in his
appearance. He was the one telling us about the coming of the
terror of the Lord in his visitation on His church. I guess the Lord
wanted to make a point. I try not to spend much time thinking of
this, it kind of freaks me out. It is an unspeakable flashlight into
my existence and leaves me in a true state of awe in every sense
of the word. My perception of who God is has now and forever
been unalterably changed. Especially by this one.

(2) "THE MEETING" - Published May 2nd, 2007
-by Maurice Smith.

The following took place at a recent house church gathering... I will
only say that I know and trust the people involved, people not given
to "pushing the envelope" or "flights of fancy". The meeting lasted
approximately four hours. What I am about to relate began roughly
an hour into the gathering. According to half of the people who were
present and actually witnessed this, three angels appeared, each
bearing a specific message.

The First Angel.
According to those present who witnessed this, the first angel was
clothed in crimson and purple and had a regal nature about him.
His message, as recorded by one person present, was as follows:

"This is what the spirit has to say to the 1st Church: Listen! The
1st angel of the church first established in the Lord says this.
Repent, for my heart is broken, for I have broken the staff of
correction over the backs of my sheep who long for different
pastures and whose heart is fat on that which is not holy, for I will
now let them pursue their own lusts and (I will now) stand out of
the way!"

The Second Angel.
According to those who witnessed this, the second angel was
clothed humbly and "non-descriptly" with simple robes. His
message was as follows:

"The 2nd angel has to say in a still small voice, be quiet, for only
those who seek to drink from the still small brook and who are not
afraid of persecution, who love the Lord more than life and thirst
not for the glory and the big things that profit only the flesh, who
hunger for intimacy, shall enter in! For in such is true power found -
in the quiet clearings where the River of God’s brook quietly
murmurs shall peace and purpose be found. Clothe yourselves
in humility, for I shall be found there in peace and tranquility!"

The Third Angel.

"When the 3rd angel approached me I trembled in fear (!) for he is
an all consuming fire. His eyes are ablaze with God’s glory and
his robes are a burning furnace - for he is fresh from the Lord’s
Presence, shrouded with His glory and holiness! And his presence
is a terrible thing, for he has to say:
‘Go tell my people to Repent, for they have lost their fear of the
Lord, they no longer desire to hear what He truly has to say (It will
cost you everything!). Holiness - Holiness - Holiness. Be Holy, for
I am holy! Tremble in fear for I am coming!’"

The Meaning

The people involved in this meeting/visitation were deeply affected
both then and for several days afterwards... One of them called me
on the verge of tears, "I’ve been pondering this all day. Maurice,
what does this mean?" Good question. I believe it means several
things, and I want to try and summarize what I think is happening...

God is still calling His people to repentance (two of the three angelic
messages contained exhortations to repent)... but they have
resisted the "staff of correction" and so He is preparing to send
them one of the worst forms of judgment; He is going to stand
aside and let them have their own way: "I will now let them pursue
their own lusts and (I will now) stand out of the way!" It is a terrible
day when God gives us over to the lusts and desires of our own heart...

We are entering a season of divine visitation and God is driving a
stake in the ground (one of those "Remember this day!" moments).
He is calling His Church back to repentance, to intimacy and to
holiness. These three messages are not new. We’ve heard them
before... repentance, intimacy and holiness.

PICTURES of THE QUAKE

PICTURES of THE QUAKE
-Andrew Strom.

In my first few nights here in Christchurch there were several big
aftershocks of Richter 4.5 or more. Anything less and we tend
not to notice - but those ones can wake you out of a sound sleep.
Remarkably though, you would never know that Christchurch had
been through a worse quake than Haiti. There is damage (as you
will see in the photos) - particularly to many older church buildings
and so-on. But much of the city is recovering with only minor
disruption. Many people are quite traumatized, however. They
will not get over this in a hurry.

Unlike Katrina there is seemingly not much left for teams of
volunteers to do. Much of the "grunt" work is already done. Instead
we feel led to reach out in more SPIRITUAL ways this time - to
a deeply affected population - with open-air worship events and
so-on. Please pray with us for a true "Street Revival", my friends.

The fact that so many old - and even newer - church buildings and
cathedrals have been so damaged and forcibly abandoned, has
really been speaking to me. I believe God is showing that the time
has come where we really must begin to call the true church OUT
of her enclosing walls and into the Open where a lost and dying
world awaits. We were never supposed to allow the Bride of Christ
to be "imprisoned" away from the very world she is called to reach.
This whole thing has emboldened me to preach again things I have
long laid aside - that Christ is calling His true church out of her
"cathedrals" - out where she is meant to be. It is high time we
abandoned our gilded cages - and all the "junk" that goes with
them - and got back to the ways of the early church.

"Street Revival" and the leaving behind of our man-made 'traditions'
are becoming an emphasis for me once again. We need to let the
"SHAKING of CHRISTCHURCH" speak loudly to us all. What is
God trying to say?

"THE BRIDE Will LEAVE CHRISTENDOM"

"THE BRIDE Will LEAVE CHRISTENDOM"
-Vision by Wayne Thomas.

The following vision is probably one of the most well-known that has
ever come out of my home nation of New Zealand. It is a key vision
that has been acknowledged and read around the world. This vision
was given to Wayne Thomas late in 1993. He told me that it was
probably the most powerful he had ever seen.

VISION of THE BRIDE LEAVING CHRISTENDOM
-Wayne Thomas.

Basically, it was a traditional wedding scene. The radiantly beautiful
Bride had just stepped out of the Cathedral and was standing on the
top step, just outside. Wayne was told that the Bride was LEAVING
'CHRISTENDOM' (AND ALL THAT GOES WITH IT) FOREVER, leaving
the 'church' system behind. The Groom (who was Jesus) took her arm,
so that He could lead her down and proudly display His beautiful Bride
to all the world.

Still inside the Cathedral were all the relatives (-the various
'streams' and denominations of the church as we know it?)
Suddenly, while the Bride was still on the top step, an invisible
hand gave her a beautiful lily (which had been plucked out by the
roots). This was her bridal 'bouquet' (an "end-time" enduement?)
and for some reason it seemed to be given to her rather late. She
threw this bouquet backwards, and some of her relatives in the church,
who had been watching her with great jealousy and awe, made a grab
for the bouquet. Two of them seemed to snatch it up, but there was
a lot of squabbling and pushing amongst them - fighting to be somehow
near the Bride or to grab the bouquet. The Groom then led His Bride
down the steps and through the huge crowd of cheering people below,
who had been unable to get into the Cathedral.

In a later vision, Wayne was shown that after they had made their
way through this huge throng, the happy couple were then taken away
on their honeymoon, which was to last for a thousand years.

Wayne later made the following comments about this vision:
"The Lord emphasized these things to me:- That the Bride is so
in love with the Groom - and the fact that she is pure and holy, and
the problems of life are far behind her in this time frame. The crowds
outside see this intimate love between the two, and that no burden in
life stops her from expressing this love. She leaves the guests behind
to squabble over the bouquet, and her desire to share this love with
the crowd outside is very evident.

"The fighting wedding guests are those within the church who in their
hearts are ambitious for titles to impress the body and are caught
up seeking the gifts (bouquet anointings) and not the giver. They are
involved in grand schemes and politics within the church - and they
love 'comfort'. They are those who get close to the Truth but do not
want to live the truth.

"The Bride - leaving the guests behind - is made up of Christians
seeking truth in Jesus alone, no matter the cost, leaving compromise
behind and seeking Jesus first before the praises of men."

ANDREW AGAIN: There are some quite shocking implications
to this vision, but it lines up with so much that God has spoken
along similar lines in recent years - ie. GREAT REFORMATION -
not just Revival. What are we to make of this - that the BRIDE Will
LEAVE the "CHURCH SYSTEM" FOREVER??

Does it line up with Scripture? Does it make sense? Is it possible?

The Book of Acts Revival, the Wesley and Whitefield Revivals, the
Cane Ridge Revival, the Early Salvation Army Revivals, and of course
Jesus' own ministry in the first place - these were all massive
"outdoor" moves of God. Could it be that they are pointing the way
to what we are about to witness in our own generation?
